Following the release of 2019’s Salt EP, Silktail returned with Vapor, the band’s first vinyl release, originally on Smog Moon Recordings. Written and recorded entirely during the 2020 COVID lockdown, Vapor saw Silktail stepping into a more active role in the recording process, as the lack of available studio space required the band to create their own home studio. This potential drawback proved to be a silver lining, as Vapor contains the band's most focused and inspired work to date. With it’s wooly guitars, pounding drums, and sweetly melancholic melodies, Vapor is a logical progression for Silktail, invoking bands like Silversun Pickups, Sunny Day Real Estate and Dinosaur Jr. Vapor is now available as a limited edition cassette here on Setterwind Records!
