MICHIGAN

Born in 2018 out of a passion for DIY cassette tapes, Setterwind Records has blossomed into a record label connecting members of the alternative music scene in Michigan and beyond. Ran out of a spare bedroom in his Michigan home, owner and operator Luke LaFountain continues to press records, dub cassettes, edit artwork, pack orders, and at times, let his friends crash at his place to this day. The goal of the label is to grow community, share music, and to create physical evidence for future generations to prove that "our" music mattered and has touched the hearts of many. Aiding in design sense is Jacob Weston, who teamed up in 2022. With his help, the label is able to produce a visual language that is applied to all of our records, tapes, cds, and digital presence.
